I was born and raised in Alberta and received the Lord into my life when I was three years old. I completed high school with honours and went on to complete a bachelor’s degree at the University of Calgary. I then entered graduate school, studying public policy and administration.
During this time I was growing in my faith and made several significant lifetime decisions, including a resolve to allow God to set the agenda for my life rather than me making plans and asking Him to bless them. I determined that I would wait to hear from Him for what He would have me to do rather than to forge ahead with my own plans. When I did this, He immediately told me to leave graduate studies and to work with men in prison. This was the last thing I wanted to do, but nevertheless, after much struggle I obeyed and He blessed the work abundantly.
I remained working with men in primarily maximum and medium security prisons for 3 years and witnessed many changed lives. As things were really starting to take off, however, God told me to leave and work with the nations.
Having never travelled to another nation and being only unilingual, I felt most unqualified for such. Nevertheless, God opened doors and I worked with newcomers and refugees, helping them to settle and orient into Canadian life. I also organized trades training for them with SAIT certification in machining, welding, etc. I did this for half a dozen years when the Lord had me manage an employment agency that catered primarily to engineers. I was both a counsellor and administrator. Ms. Ila Stevens, a wonderful lady who attends our church, was my supervisor for many years.
I was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1991 and up to that point had attended mostly Alliance Churches. After the baptism, I attended Pentecostal assemblies, before being led to CFG.
In early 2007 the Lord again spoke, saying that He had a work for me in the church. I had been volunteering at CFG for sometime by this point, in several capacities, and was not enthused about this directive. I witnessed the incredible loads the staff were under and felt that work almost anywhere else would be easier. Nevertheless, within a few weeks I was invited to work in the main office, where I`ve been ever since.
Today I can say that it is my privilege to serve as executive assistant to an incredibly great man of God, Dr. Len Zoeteman, and a man whose God-given vision I embrace 100%. He and Ingrid are among the most grace-filled couples I know and I am honoured to serve under their leadership.
In addition, my work involves helping to plan and organize various church events, manage the church calendar, and provide support to several ministries within the church.
I have a passion to see CFG become fully apostolic, which I believe God is calling all of us to embrace and be transformed by both individually and corporately. It is my pleasure to be on this apostolic journey with you, welcoming the fullness of His expression into every area of our lives and future.
